How Car Batteries Can Handle the Hot Summer Weather

The car battery is at risk when it comes to hot and cold weather. For one thing, the temperatures have an effect on a battery in different ways. The car battery is at risk in extreme weather, especially the summer and winter months. This is one of the reasons that you have to make sure that you are on top of the battery during the most extreme months of the year.

One thing that is known is that extreme temperatures can lead to a lower battery life. If your vehicle is exposed to temperatures higher than 92 degrees, then it is going to be reduced in the amount of life it has.

One of the factors that make the battery lose some of its life in the summer is the evaporation of the electrolytes in the battery. This is one of the reasons you want to find a way to keep your vehicle as cool as possible during the summer. Winter also can cause your battery to lose power.
